THE EXPERT

Kate Dawes is our senior hair loss consultant and qualified trichologist and is a member of the International Association of Trichologists. Kate has been in the hair industry for 27 years, starting out as a hairdresser.

Kate developed an interest in hair loss during her hairdressing career and has now completed her trichology studies with the International Association Of Trichologists. She is also in the process of completing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Nutritional Medicine.

“My aim is to help people overcome their hair loss holistically. I look at their diet, lifestyle, genetics and other contributing factors. Each client is treated with understanding and respect”.

“Hair loss can have a devastating effect on your self esteem and needs to be addressed. I like to educate my clients about the anatomy and physiology of hair so they can gain an understanding into why their hair loss is occurring”.

We perform an extensive consultation, take microscopic photos of the hair, scalp and follicles. Sometimes blood tests are required to determine possible causes. Once all the information is gathered, a diagnosis can be made and then an individual treatment plan is prescribed.
